UPDATED POLICIES + PROCEDURES
Due to changes within the company, new policies and procedures are outlined here and set forth to be active immediately.
WEBSITE MAINTENANCE REQUESTS
Firestart Creative designs CMS based web sites. These are costly but highly effective due to the fact that each site owner respectively has his or her own login and has the freedom and ability to make minor changes at will. IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR LOGIN FOR YOUR WEBSITE, PLEASE EMAIL ME TO OBTAIN A NEW ONE.
Starting December 1st, 2010, we will be emailing out site maintenance reminders once a week for any upcoming web site changes. If any requests are content heavy, (lots of text, images, pricing etc) please EMAIL them to us that way we know specifically what needs to be changed and where to start. This is for your benefit: it is easier to have a paper trail and it also helps catch any costly errors due to mis-communication. Most website maintenance requests will have a 24 hour turnaround, some bigger, design-heavy changes may require 48 hours.           Â
EXPEDITED WEBSITE MAINTENANCE REQUESTS
Any site request submitted ideally should be expected within 24 hours. If an expedited site maintenance is requested (less than 24 hours turnaround) there will be a fee of $25 per expedited request.
RETAINER NOW REQUIRED FOR OUTSOURCED WEBSITE COMPONENTS
All outsourced accounts will be required to acquire a 5 hour retainer for site changes. The retainer fee of $300 will remain in your account and rollover to the next month until it is all used up. If you have had a website done that had some components outsourced within the past 6 months, I will not be able to make changes to those components. The retainer will be used for large, scalable changes (those that require the site to be taken down for a short period of time) or changes to site function and HTML code. DESIGN CHANGES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.
NEW HOSTING REQUIREMENTS AND CHARGES
Beginning November 2010, all high bandwidth accounts will be transferred to BlueHost and charged a monthly $24.95 hosting fee. There will be no interruption of service during this transfer. If your account is a high-bandwidth account, you will be notified in a separate email of this change.
All basic websites hosted by Firestart Creative will not be charged until Jan 2011. The fee for hosting with us is a flat fee of $59.95 per year.
UNRESOLVED ACCOUNTS AND PAYMENT ISSUES
All unresolved accounts must be paid by the due date or a late fee will be assessed. This includes trade accounts as well. All trade accounts must be fulfilled by either gift cards or gift certificates.
FULL TRADE ACCOUNTS WILL DISCONTINUE
Effective November 1st, Firestart Creative will be discontinuing full trade for FUTURE services rendered. We will enable up to 75% of total invoice to be accepted in trade. The remaining 25% must be paid in full BEFORE project completion.
